My name is Evgenios Ioannou. I am a graduate of the Institute of Psychology at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and a member of the Polish Psychological Association. I completed a four-year training programme of psychotherapy (psychodynamic approach) at the Laboratory of Psychoeducation in Warsaw (recommended by the Psychotherapy Section of the Polish Psychological Association and certified by the Scientific Section of Psychotherapy of the Polish Psychiatric Association). I am a holder of the European Certificate of Psychotherapy (ECP) issued by the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) in Vienna.
I worked in Psychological and Psychiatric Clinic EGO in Lodz, where I was conducting individual psychotherapy and a group of psychological skills training in the Day Care Unit for Neurosis and Personality Disorders. I provided psychological support to chronically and psychosomatically ill patients in a Care and Treatment Center in Łódź. I am currently working as a psychotherapist at the Psychiatric Clinic of Specialist Psychiatric Health Care Team of the Hospital Babińskiego in Łódź.
I completed internships at the General Psychiatric Department of the Adult Psychiatry Clinic of the Medical University of Lodz, Department of Affective Disorders of the Central Clinical Hospital in Łódź and the Day Care Unit for the Treatment of Neurotic and Behavioral Disorders of the Psychotherapy Unit of the University Hospital in Krakow.
I have large experience in therapeutic work with people with a psychiatric diagnosis and with people seeking help in dealing with various difficulties.
I conduct short and long-term individual psychotherapy and group psychotherapy of adults and young adults under the supervision of a certified supervisor of the Polish Psychological Association. I work in the approach of psychodynamic psychotherapy.
